michael sears

Michael is a 30-year veteran of California's Silicon Valley where he worked in both large and small technology companies. He worked his way through the ranks to become the CEO of a technology company, and the founder of a small Internet media company. During that time, he was granted and received three U.S. patents as a co-inventor of technology. He spent 10 years as a Palo Alto-based Venture Capitalist and has been a board member in both private and public companies, for-profit as well as non-profit.
After his Silicon Valley experiences, Mr. Sears moved to Annapolis, MD and began teaching ethics and leadership concepts at the US Naval Academy using interactive tools that he developed. The case studies and simulations that his Laboratory produced helped students and faculty experience the teaching points in an immersive and interactive manner. Sears also produced and published more than 270 podcasts on ethics, leadership, character and law.
As an author, Michael continues his work in innovation and technology at the intersection of human ethics. He has written 3 books in the field, and he maintains an active lecture series at home and abroad. Sears hold an MBA from Stanford's Graduate School of Business, & a Juris Doctorate from the Stanford Law School.
